Welcome to my website! My name is Henry Martinez and I am currently a student at California State University, Northridge, studying Computer Science. I am passionate about all things cybersecurity, and wish to pursue a career in developing equalized security measures for low-resource communities.

Here are a few of my projects and experience I have or am currently working on:

NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Working with the Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) team to provide solutions for topics in access management, particularly single sign-on.

NASA L'SPACE Proposal Writing and Evaluation Experience (NPWEE)

Working on a 10-week program in a multi-disciplinary team to develop proposals for new technologies and concepts that enable NASA objectives and enhance mission capabilities.
Gaining experience in the process of writing, reviewing, and scoring proposals through the lens of a NASA reviewer.

NASA Great Lunar Expedition for Everyone (GLEE)

Collaborated with a team of six students from three state-wide universities on a NASA-funded project to program a miniature spacecraft using C++ and Arduino IDE, collecting local surface data for future lunar mission application and implementation.

Personal Website / Portfolio

Created a website from scratch using HTML and CSS, hosted by Github Pages and Jekyll, that showcases my skills, projects, coursework, resume, and contact resources.

Convert and Encode Integers Web Application

Designed and developed a web application with several classmates for CSUN's computer science department, aimed at teaching and aiding future students in topics relating to computer architecture.

Web Scraping using Java and Related Libraries

Developed a web-scraping program using Java and Java libraries (Apache Maven and Jsoup) which tells the user which album and artist were at the top of the Billboard 200 chart for any given date and for how many weeks, using data from Billboard’s website HTML.

Object-Oriented Programming and Data Structure Projects

Generated Java data structure classes/methods from scratch such as linked lists and binary tree ADTs that mimicked their Java library counterparts using object-oriented programming.
Designed and implemented a Java program that converts user-generated music sheet text files into audio playback, utilizing OOP and data structures. Features include the ability to reverse, repeat, and adjust the tempo of the generated audio.
